Biography
Thomas Lindsay, Jr. came to South Carolina from Scotland in about 1800. He then moved to St. Charles, Missouri about 1816. He was a staunch member of the Presbyterian Church, founding the First Presbyterian Church of St. Charles, Missouri and hosting many visiting ministers. His siblings, Anne and James and their families came to St. Charles, and he provided a home for his niece, Anne Glenday after her mother(his sister Anne) died and her father, Patrick, returned to Scotland.
