Biography
Frederick Durfee Johns was born in 1851 to John Jay and Jane (Durfee) Johns in St. Charles, Missouri.
In 1872, Fred was listed as a student at MassachuBsetts Agricultural College[1]. He graduated from Missouri Medical College in 1874. In 1875, Fred married Anna Myers from Boonville, Missouri. In the 1880s, Fred and his family moved to Texas for his health, and he was practicing medicine in Leakey, Texas in 1885.
By 1900, Fred, Annie and their three daughters were living in St. Louis, Missouri. Annie died in 1920, and Fred moved to Los Angeles, California, and was living with his daughter. He died there in 1945.
