Biography
EMMA JOSEPHINE GAUSS (YOUNG) was born in Nov. 1864 to Charles F. Gauss and Mary Joseph Lamoereaux in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Samuel H. Young of St. Louis on May 12, 1887. Their daughters were born in St. Louis: (1) Marie Young (2/1885- ; m. 1915 to Robert John Gestride), and (2) Ida Young (11/1889; m. (a) William Jefferson Hill, and again (b) to Clifford Branch Jones). In the 1910s Emma Josephine Gauss (Young) was living at 6837 Pershing Dr., St. Louis [Gauss 1982]:Reference is missing.
