Biography
Oscar Gauss was a son of Charles W. Gauss and Louisa Fallenstein Gauss. He first studied medicine, and in pursuit of this goal traveled to Germany, where he visited his German relatives. He later became a Presbyterian minister. He married Esther Gill, whose sister, Annie was married to Frederick Durfee Johns. Eventually he settled in Colorado.
