Dear Minna:

Am rather late in answering because i am just getting started on the story of the Trip to Texas. Was so tired and we have been having a spell of very warm, almost summer weather and it has just about worn me out, especially since I picked up a throat infection which apparently does not like the weather or me either. However, when I send your copy and Lois' you can think about sending one of the books to be copied. I am like you, it does not seem to be worthwhile to copy just everything and possibly you can give me an idea of the items that should be deleted and we shall wee how it goes. I can give it a try and if someone has to go through the books first before they are copied it would not be worth while. I can leave them out as I go along, besides the handwriting may not be too easy for a stranger to read. I am going to have my typewriter gone over as it has been a while since that has happened. May not be anything the matter with it, however I do need a new typewriter ribbon. Anyway, let's try it that way.

There is not much news here. Glover generally comes out on Sunday afternoon and he just left. As you probably did, we had some very severe weather here also, and the vegetation looks awful. We have had a time with this yard, it accumulates weeds so fast, at least part of it does and they did not die during that 10 or 9ยบ above weather for four days. More is the pity. I will get them whipped one of these days though if I keep at it I guess. I am surely getting tired of digging weeds!

When I send the copy, and you send the book, let me know what you think should be deleted and I will see what we think, it will probably be the same.

Hope you all have been well,

Love, Florence
