Dear Minna:

I have not talked with Mrs. leathers lately, in fact not since they returned from their vacation. when I get off this full time job which I hope will be in January I will have more time, then it will only be part time. I have been digesting some of the information your letter and Anne's to John Jay contained but will have to make a trip to the Library before I can see if I can find any other clues. The Library here is good but the Genealogy Room is unattended and books have been stolen and quantities of pages torn from others. This story of "Chevy Chase" is probably the same as the one you have, however, it was double spaced and was eleven pages. Mrs. Leathers has more information on the Johns family than you can shake a stick at, whether it is right or not I do not know. If you will send me Bonnie's address in little Rock I will write to her. The reason I asked about the day by day diary was that we had hear papa speak of it. apparently that is all Winston could find, just what he sent Sylvia. If you have of know where we can get a copy of the diary, I will be glad to try. There must be something at the old home place then but do you suppose Mary Gladden knows it. she must have the old family Bible.

About the chart, the only thing that is to9rn off is some dates and names and if you will be so kind to look at yours and give them to us. We are preparing to have the chart put into a permanent record although I do thing that mostly it is Shirley's (Borden) kin. what we are missing is this. I do not know you yours is put together but with ours, the information we need is. (???first name of) SLOCUM AND Abigail Russell - Date

I do not know what has happened to this ribbon on the typewriter but all of a sudden it is not very legible. Be assured as soon as I can do it I will pick up any information I can and let you know what I find. I know you are very busy. I sometimes wonder why I am digging into things except to make them a record. Hope you both are well,
