524 W. Elsmere Pl San Antonio 12, Texas 27 February 1959 Dear Minna: I suppose David [1] is one of those who has to do two years, some of them, it seems, get away with 6 mos. However, we can do nothing about that. Just suffer through. Yes, we had always lived on Magnolia. You remark makes me and everybody feel lost. Most everybody in San Antonio would like to see it, but no one can keep up with it, so much expansion! However it would be nice to see your birth place! Arthur is still very much of a little boy in many ways. Yes, Uncle Fred lived in Uvalde and Leakey, both much better towns than the desolate places they remember. Your offer of the "Statement of his life" or little dairy[sic] comes at a very aopropriate time. If you could agree to part with it for a while I am sure I could copy it and get it back to you. We have had many requests for infomation from members of the family, especially Sylvia, Glover's daughter. I will take good care of it but if you had rather not part with it. Thanks. Hope you both are well.
