Paul W. Gauss, Minister, [1]
My dear Uncle Will:
A letter from my father this morning tells me that you desire certain information in regard to the Gauss family and I am very glad to give such portion of it as concerns me. I was married May 27, 1913 to Ruby Fay Tomlinson, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Tomlinson, Chicago. We were married in Chicago. We have two Children, Dorothy Marie, born April 20, 1914 in Odessa, Mo., where I also was born July 6 1889, and Marjorie Gill born August 6, 1920 at Parma, Idaho.
We are Now living at Bellefontaine, Ohio where I am pastor of the Presbyterian Church and we have been here for two and one-half years. We have enjoyed our experiences in the different parts of the country and sometimes grow hungry for the west and the mountains but find Ohio a very attractive state in which to live. It seems that the members of the Gauss family cannot be in very close touch with one another but I am sure that there is a real Gauss spirit and a felling of love toward each other. I hope that it may be possible for us to see you again and I covet an acquaintance with Carl, Theodore and Helen. I would be very glad to har from you when you have opportunity to write and if there is any additional information that I can give you I will be very glad to do so.
Your nephew,
Paul W. Gauss
PWG/MC
Note
8-1-69 - Several (3 or 4) years ago, Paul came to see me with his new wife -- much younger than he was. No word since then.[2]
