Resolutions of the Session of Madison Square Presbyterian Church of San Antonio Texas, passed January 16th 1894.
Whereas, in the all-wise leadings of our Heavenly Father, our dear brother and Elder, Charles H. Gauss, together with his family, has been removed to a home in a distant state, therefore be it Resolved, 1st. That our association with brother Gauss has ever been marked by the warmest Christian affection and confidence; that we have enjoyed much comfort in his fellowship, and true help in his wise judgement and practical knowledge of Presbyterian polity.
Resolved 2nd. That while we regret the necessity that took him from our midst our earnest prayers for the future health, prosperity, and happiness of him and his shall follow him; and we pray that God will use him there even as he did here to the help and comfort of his people.
Resolved 3rd. That these resolutions be spread on our on our minutes and a copy be forwarded to brother Gauss.
